Event Description

We could all agree that California would be better served by streamlining operations, creating customer-centric services, modernize state processes, improving collaboration between the policy and legislation makers, creating an empowered workforce, effectively leveraging technology, and developing leaders for the future. Transforming Government requires a multi-prong approach so that all elements are involved and have a stake in success at this endeavor. This Forum will serve as a discussion starter by bringing expertise and experience together with motivated leaders in government to examine the challenges and issues, gather information, and network on solutions.

Areas of Focus: This forum will have four educational disciplines: Workforce Development, Customer Service, Improving Organizational Outcomes, and Procurement.

Event Format: This will be a one-day conference made up of General Sessions that will apply to the entire attendee population and shorter breakouts to focus on specific areas of interest.

Attendees: Leaders in Government and Legislature, Department and Program Executives, Technology Leaders, Local Government and Education Leaders

Anticipated Attendance: +500 State, Local and Education Executives

What People Are Saying...

  • “The Project Delivery Summit has brought to light education and training opportunities highlighting project management disciplines to better enable the successful delivery of State IT Projects. It has filled a need in terms of delivering free training on the pillars surrounding managing projects to the State of CA workforce. With the public and private sector working together to create content, the workforce has benefited in terms of exposure to education and training that otherwise they may not have gotten. This summit is in its second year, and 70% of the attendees were new to the summit. Not only are IT personnel invited to this summit, but the department’s program areas are invited as well in order to better educate them. Through this exposure, the Department of Technology has been successful in launching our Project Academy Series which takes a deeper dive into the content that is discussed in these forums. The better educated and trained workforce, the more successful we will be in delivering projects for the State of CA. ”
