Defining the Cloud
What is Cloud Computing?
Simply put, cloud computing is a set of pooled computing resources delivered over the internet. The cloud delivers a hosting environment that doesn’t limit an application to a specific set of resources. Depending on the platform, an application can scale dynamically and increase its share of resources on-the-fly. However, one size does not fit all, especially in the Government data service environment.
Today’s Public Sector service requirements demand a converged delivery model, sourced across traditional, private, and public cloud offerings. Understanding how to implement a converged strategy requires a complete understanding of all available options, the policies and regulations that impact how data is housed and transmitted, and training to be able to leveage best-of-industry options. this conference will focus on preparing government organizations to understand and leverage this environment effectively.
