Title: SCADA Information Technology Supervisor
Tedd Vallance joined the City of Sacramento the Department of Utilities in 2006. He is currently the SCADA IT Supervisor for Wastewater Division. In this role, he is responsible for management and security of the network, automation equipment, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software that controls the City’s sewer and drainage facilities. His duties also include assisting with security cameras and access.
Prior to working for local government, Tedd worked for Texas Instruments as a technical instructor teaching programmable logic controller (PLC) programming, a PLC sales and design engineer for a Rockwell Automation distributor, and an integrator. He has 35 years of experience covering every aspect of PLCs, and a wide range of industries including food, pharmaceutical, aerospace, material handling, and water/wastewater.
