Event Description

The State of California invests billions of dollars in new programs and projects every year with varying degrees of success. What is it that separates the successful project that comes in on-time and under budget versus those projects that face constant challenges and even failure?

On August 28, 2013 Government executives from all branches and levels of California Government will join with Private Sector subject matter experts to convene a One Day Summit to discuss this issue. This Summit will focus on bringing together the various participants in large government projects to ascertain what elements are constants in successful projects to try to build a road map that can be leveraged in the future to increase the success rate of large projects within California Government.

6 Benefits of Attending the Project Delivery Summit

  1. Build an expert team to tackle your next big project
This forum focuses on developing the different roles involved in delivering a successful Government Project including the Executive Sponsor, the Project Manager, the Vendor Manger, the Business Analyst, the Change Manger, and Approvals and Procurement. We encourage each organization to send representatives for each of these tracks so that you create a powerful Project Delivery Team
  2. Join your peers in Communities of Interest
The results from this forum will live on in working groups called Communities of Interest in which relationships developed at the forum can continue after the event with ongoing education sessions designed to develop the skills necessary to consistently deliver successful projects
  3. Increase your Value
The training that you receive at this forum will make you more valuable to your organization as well as to California Government overall. California will continue to grow and there will always be new projects to serve that growth. Successful leaders that help to deliver successful projects will always be in demand.
  4. Learn from Industry Leaders
Each track will deliver 4 hours of training on specific skills and processes. These sessions will be delivered in a workshop format and will be led by some of the best Project Delivery Experts the industry and Government have to offer
  5. Network with Leaders
The people that attend this forum are committed to California Government success and this venue will provide a tremendous environment for idea sharing, relationship building, and meeting difference makers from across the State
  6. This Forum is Free to Government Personnel
