Keynote and Luncheon Speakers for 2015 Trending Technology Forum have been Selected

It is official.  The Speakers for this year's Trending Technologies forum have been chosen by this year's Advisory Board.

Carlos Ramos

Throughout his career, Carlos Ramos has been a leader on many of California’s key technology initiatives. He has served as Director of the Office of Systems Integration with a $4.5 billion portfolio of California’s largest technology projects. He also concurrently held the position of Assistant Secretary for Health and Human Services and was the Agency’s senior technology executive. Carlos was the principal technology advisor to the Secretary and was responsible for the entire HHS IT portfolio. He helped architect the consolidation of the state’s largest data centers and the creation of California’s Department of Technology Services.

Carlos served as Director of the then Teale Data Center one of the largest public-sector data centers in the world with an annual budget of $200 million and over 200 government agency customers. He also previously served as the CIO for California’s Department of Social Services, managing a large computing infrastructure and a statewide data communications network.

P K Agarwal until recently served as the CEO of TiE Global, a Silicon Valley based non-profit dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, spanning 61 cities in 18 countries. Prior to this, Mr. Agarwal was appointed by then Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Chief Technology Officer for the State of California. During his tenure, he successfully saved California taxpayers over $60 million dollars and helped shape an enterprise IT operation with a budget of over $200 million. He has over 25 years of experience in IT, spanning both public and private sector. Previously, he held positions of VP at ACS Inc, CIO and EVP for NIC Inc., and the CIO for the California Franchise Tax Board. He started his professional career as a Management Consultant for EDS.

He helped pioneer the use of Internet and shaped the national and state policy in this area, dating back to Al Gore s National Information Infrastructure Advisory Council in 1995. He had the unique distinction of having a U.S. national annual award named as the P K Agarwal Award for Leadership in Electronic Government. He also served as the President of National Association of State CIO, the National Electronic Commerce Coordinating Council (ec3) and the Harvard Policy Group. He also serves as a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, and an adjunct faculty at USC.

Chad Fulgham is Chief Strategy Officer of Tanium Inc., a Berkeley-based enterprise software company. Previously, Chad served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he led an enterprise scale technology modernization program that earned recognition as Information Week’s Government CIO Top 50 and CIO Leadership Network’s Top 10 Breakaway Leaders. He has also held information technology, security and risk assessment positions for Lockheed Martin, Lehman Brothers, IBM, JP Morgan Chase, Arthur Andersen and the US Navy. Chad graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and is a graduate of The Executive Program at the Darden School of Business. He holds a CISSP. Chad also serves on the Board of Directors of PerCredo, LLC, which he co-founded.
