Title: Sr. Director of Product Management for Security Products
Chris Corde is a Senior Director of Product Management & Strategy for Security Products at VMware. He oversees VMware AppDefense and NSX Distributed Network Encryption. Prior to VMware, Chris was the Senior Director of Corporate Development and Strategy for RSA, the Security Division of EMC. In that role, he was responsible for acquisitions, venture investments, and product divestitures for the division. Chris led the acquisitions of Aveksa and PassBan in July of 2013, as well as the divestiture of the Identity Verification business earlier that year. Chris also played a strategic role in helping to define business plans and opportunities across a number of emerging areas like cloud, virtualization, mobile authentication, and identity management. Chris was also a product manager for LogMeIn’s identity and access management portfolio, and a Java Engineer at a number of startups, including FreshDirect, Unicast Communications, and Broadview Networks. Chris has is BS in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he was a Presidential Scholar and member of the University Honors Program. Chris also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from New York University and an MBA from Boston College Carroll Graduate School of Management.
