Khader Mohiuddin is a Director in the Big Data And Analytics Platform team and serves as the Big Data Industry Business Architect. His 20 years of experience spans Software/Hardware Engineering and Big4 Industry Consulting focused on developing solutions that optimize businesses by deriving new insights from data. He is a published co-author of “The Oracle Big Data Handbook” published by Oracle Press/McGraw Hill. Lately, he has been successful in applying Data Science to State agencies for fraud detection, compliance anomalies and optimizing mass transit operations. He has applied Big Data techniques to Human and Plant Genomics working alongside researchers from key universities and Big Pharma. He is well versed with modern Information Architecture concepts like Data Lake, Lambda, Schema Evolution and Machine Learning. He has helped 100’s of customers adopt Big Data techniques in the Public/Private Cloud during the past 5 years.
Prior to Oracle, Khader was a Manager at Accenture Consulting where he led several high impact transformational projects for State Utilities, Health Insurance Payer Organizations, Telco and Oil and Gas. Driving organizational transformation through thought leadership, critical thinking, transparency and value driven results. Prior to Accenture, he worked at Sun Microsystems for 5 years as a Staff Engineer leading the effort of optimizing Oracle database and Oracle Enterprise Applications on the Sun Platform at the kernel level. He played a key role proving out Oracle’s Exadata Engineered systems Architecture as a concept during the initial stages of the development of the product combining Sun and Oracle technologies. Khader had joined Sun Microsystems after working at Oracle for 6 years as a Senior Engineer in the Database Performance group, where he won several competitive benchmarks against other database vendors.
